Summary:The Transition Specialist is responsible for project management during the conversion of a retirement plan client from one recordkeeping platform to another. During this three-month process, the Transition Specialist will be the client’s primary contact for inquiries regarding the conversion, will participate in weekly timeline calls, and will be responsible for ensuring all best practices are followed throughout the process. The Transition Specialist will work closely with the retirement client’s assigned Plan Advisor, and with the assigned conversion manager from the recordkeeping partner.
Job Responsibilities:- Conversion project management
- Participate in weekly status calls
- Client relationship management during the conversion
- Develop transition participant communication plan
- Conduct participant education seminars, in person or via webinar, to explain the transition process.
- Ensure adherence to NFP transition best practices.
- At least 5 years’ experience working with defined contribution retirement plans
- Basic knowledge of investments
- Good understanding of retirement plan design & compliance requirements
- Must be customer-service oriented, and work well in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to learn on the job
- Very good organization skills
- Ability to work with computer databases and Microsoft Office Suite
- Series 6,63 & 65 or Series 7 & 66 are recommended, but not required
- Life & Health license is recommended, but not required.
- Retirement plan designation preferred, but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $57,000 to $92,000.
The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
