Registration Information Assistant (Full-Time, Temporary)

This position serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff seeking assistance from the Registrar’s Office. The role provides prompt general information and clerical support to ensure efficient and accurate service.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provide general information in‑person, via email, and over the telephone regarding all inquiries related to the Registrar’s Office.
  • Assist students with curriculum registration and troubleshoot issues in Self‑Service.
  • Process and review student request forms for completeness and accuracy, including enrollment verifications, permanent record changes, in‑school deferments, and graduation applications.
  • Process payments and troubleshoot issues within the PCI system for transcript requests made in‑person.
  • Assist students with accessing and completing electronic requests including residency updates, enrollment verifications, transcripts, and transfer credit appeals.
  • Process registration overrides received by curriculum departments.
  • Assist the Associate Dean and Registration Services Coordinator with registration priority and special projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Maintain records accurately and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Work nights when required.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Organize tasks efficiently.
  • Know Colleague, Self‑Service, Hyland Onbase, and My Wake Tech  sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Communicate well in written and verbal formats.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Use MS Office products at an intermediate level.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in an office environment, customer service, or student services.
Preferences
  • Experience working in an educational environment or directly with college‑level students.
  • Associate’s Degree.
