Audit Internship

Thomas, Judy & Tucker (TJT), is a leading full-service CPA firm providing audit/attestation and taxation services to North Carolina and beyond for 35 years. Our firm has 20 partners and 275+ professionals with offices in Raleigh, Wilmington, Durham and Cedar Point, North Carolina.

TJT is seeking aspiring accounting professionals looking to gain valuable public accounting experience working as an audit
intern starting in January of 2027
. This audit internship requires a full-time commitment (40 hours per week) from the student from early January through early April. TJT's fulltime internships are primarily designed for students who can commit to a 40-hour work week as they are not enrolled in spring semester coursework. Audit internships are only available in our Raleigh office.

The firm’s practice is well developed and has a wide range of clients within the areas of hospitality, real estate, manufacturing, professional services, non-profit agencies, low-income housing, and construction.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the partners and managers of TJT and be exposed to a variety of audit and accounting concepts. We offer real world experience that is so much more than just fetching coffee or scanning files. Our interns actively participate in all parts of the audit process.

• Extensive hands‑on training with CCH Engagement trial balance software and PPC Checklists
• Experience auditing large privately held businesses, 401K plans, governmental entities, charter schools and non‑profits
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
• Collaborate and build professional relationships with TJT audit staff and cultivate a team‑centric environment with your fellow interns
