UTS - Temporary Student Accounts Specialist at NC State
The Student Accounts Specialist position will provide day‑to‑day support of all student account activities and resolve issues escalated from the department. This specialist must have a comprehensive understanding of all functions handled by the student accounts section. In addition, they will facilitate all procedures necessary to ensure that parents and students successfully navigate the MyPack Portal to achieve bill payment, direct deposit enrollment, and to obtain tax information.
The specialist will respond to unique and unusual student issues that may require deviation from standard procedure and will elevate as needed to the Supervisor or Lead Specialist.
- Attend non‑revenue generating sporting events for free.

Other Work/Responsibilities- Other duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with students, parents, University staff and others about their situation. Strong analytical skills to review accounts and determine problem and resolution.
- Must have computer skills utilizing Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel) and ability to learn and use other software programs as required (People Soft).
- Capacity for maintaining voluminous records and high-quality organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good written communication skills, and good organizational skills.
- Candidates for this position must be able to maintain the highest standards of customer service excellence at all times and in all circumstances.
