  • Ensure that financial records are keep in accordance with GAAP and all appropriate records are retained
  • Complies and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts
  • Performs account analysis of assigned accounts to ensure all entries are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and theories
  • Accurately and timely prepares all month end entries for assigned accounts
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations accurately and timely for all assigned accounts
  • Analyzes and reviews assigned accounts to ensure financial statements are completed in a timely fashion, free of misstatement
  • Has an understanding of the nature of all assigned accounts and how entries are booked to all accounts
  • Reviews activity in key accounts on a weekly basis and communicates any questions to the field to ensure activity is accurately reported each month-end
  • Monitors applicable G/L accounts to ensure they agree to the sub-ledger. Researches and resolves any differences.
  • Prepares the preliminary inventory tie-out files for the inventory control coordinators as tie-outs are scheduled throughout the year.
  • Reviews the claim file monthly for aged items or unsual transactions and sends a monthly report to operations noting the detail of aged items.
  • Reviews all annual physical inventory counts to book tie-outs and ensures reviews are completed within 20 business days of physical count each month.
  • Contributes to the collection and prepartion of reporting during yearly audit.
  • Updates accounting procedures as dictated by the changes in the company.
  • Attend annual physical inventories as required
