Tax Accountant

overview

tax preparer needed for small cpa firm in north raleigh. Immediate need. Individual income taxes. Experience with prosystems tax software a plus. We will train as needed. We are a local firm with over 25 year experience.

the ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience preparing individual and business tax returns as well as be proficient with quickbooks. Candidate must be personable, well organized, and able to communicate directly with our clients. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, plus retirement plan. Dress code is business casual. Some overtime required during tax season.

• bachelor's in accounting required; cpa license or candidate is a plus but not required.

• experience with preparation of individual and business tax returns.
• basic understanding of compilation engagements and other financial statements.
• strong project management and ability to manage multiple engagements.
• good verbal and written communication.

salary/compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and retirement plan.
