Staff Accountant

We have an excellent Staff Accountant opportunity with a dynamic and growing company in Raleigh. In this role, you will assist with the month end close, general ledger activities, monthly reconciliations, and variance analysis. There are definite opportunities to gain additional accounting knowledge and exposure. This is a great time to join this organization.

This is a new role due to growth, hybrid.

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording and reconciling transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budgeted/forecasted amounts.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and various other accounting reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies and provide documentation for audit purposes.

• Review and process invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.
• Assist with collections and monitor outstanding accounts receivable.

• Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of audit work papers.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement in the accounting functions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting.
• CPA is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
