Overview

This role is the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager for our client. The base pay range is $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Vaco by Highspring. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee the AP function. This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice entry, approvals, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper coding of invoices to jobs, cost codes, and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor payments, ensuring compliance with contract terms and lien waiver requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of AP transactions and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
  • Monitor cash flow and forecast AP obligations.
  • Develop and implement AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including 1099 reporting.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of AP experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint Vista, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Compensation and Benefits
