Overview
TITLE: Manager of Transportation
REPORTS TO: School Business Administrator/Superintendent
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month position, Non-Bargaining, salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education.
Compensation: Salary: $70,000
Employee Benefits: Full-time employees can enroll in medical and prescription benefits through the offerings of the School Employees' Health Benefit Program, and dental insurance.

- Valid Commercial Driver's License
- Excellent driving record
- 5 Year Driver's Abstract Required
- Minimum school transportation experience as determined by the board
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing school bus construction and maintenance, and pupil transportation
- Demonstrated skills in personnel management, route scheduling, fleet maintenance, and cost containment
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver, or the candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment.
- Knowledge of the educational processes and the role of school transportation as it relates to those processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with the daily operations of a school transportation department
- Demonstrated skill in personnel management, route scheduling, fleet maintenance, and cost containment
- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to work on site during the hours required, on-call availability, and periodic overtime
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
