Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry‑level, short‑term position that prepares an employee to perform higher‑level supervisory responsibilities such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee works under direction, completes basic operations and management skills training, and learns key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture. Successful completion makes the trainee eligible for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions.
EssentialFunctions
- Management: Work effectively with store management and store crews; supervise the store’s crew by assigning, directing, and following up on all activities; communicate information both to and from store management and crews.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints; promote the CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers; handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience; maintain customer/patient confidentiality.
Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and the flexibility to work a schedule that includes early morning, overnight, weekend shifts, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in retail.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is $17.92 – $26.92. This represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
