The Structural Elucidation & Characterization organization in Rahway, NJ is seeking a motivated scientist with technical expertise in investigating impurities with routine and investigative analysis using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-MS and ICP-OES) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS). As a Senior Scientist in Structural Elucidation & Characterization, you will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists from mass spectrometry, analytical chemistry, and process chemistry as well as scientists from other areas in small molecules, vaccines, and biologics.
The candidate will be working in an integrated molecular and atomic mass spectrometry group supporting clinical pipeline development. This group is responsible for solving challenging problems from a variety of partner groups and modalities, such as structure elucidation of unknown impurities and degradation products as well as quantitative analysis of elements at trace levels. The candidate will leverage advanced HRMS, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS to effectively advance our Company's pipelines at non‑GMP and GMP environments across all phases of development.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of routine and investigative analysis using ICP-MS, ICP-OES and other related techniques independently and provide interpretation of results as required.
