Job Overview

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing advanced and outstanding care to patients in our critical care unit (CCU).

Hourly

Night, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

$45.55 - $58.06 per hour

• Full-Time
• Night Shift, 7P-7:30A
• 36 hours weekly

• Current and active New Jersey RN licensure is required or a Compact License with NJ endorsement
• Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) upon hire
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 months from date of hire
• Must be IV certified from an approved facility or complete IV certification within 90 days of hire to the unit

• Minimum 1-2 years plus critical care experience
• Strong critical thinking/assessment skills
• Completion of all Orientation requirements
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

• Provide nursing care in the CCU within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards; adhere to ANA code of ethics
• Ensure safety and apply evidence-based practice; communicate with and utilize resource persons and programs
• Report identified safety issues and medical errors
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served
• Supervise and direct task delegation to appropriate team members; collaborate with other care providers
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes toward improvement
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager; use the nursing process to tailor the plan of care to the patient
