Job Overview

- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in science or related areas of study; will also consider Master's or PhD degree.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.
- Minimum experience level: BS with 5 years minimum, MS with 3 years minimum, PhD with 1 year.
- Life sciences degree preferred.
- Capable of analyzing large datasets and identifying quality events within these large datasets.
- General scientific background: biomarker experience will be shown preference.
- Capable of working independently.
- Identifies and resolves technical and operational problems.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to review and resolve quality events.
- Administers decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plans and seeking guidance from leadership; when appropriate.
- Life sciences degree.
- NGS/genomics/biomarkers data sets.
- Large data sets experience.
- Quality assurance of large data sets.
- Working with different partners to understand the large data sets.
- Software:
Excel skills; advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Explains difficult concepts.
- Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
- Accountability.
- Decision making but consults with next-level manager on these decisions.
The Companion Diagnostics group generates a high volume of biomarker datasets across client‘s oncology program. These biomarker datasets reside in our clinical database repository, and they are frequently used for efficacy subgroup analyses. Prior to these analyses, the Companion Diagnostic contractor will review these biomarker datasets and quality assurance reports, identify potential quality events, and resolve these quality events with both internal and external stakeholders.
WorkingRelationships
- Reports directly to Companion Diagnostics group.
- Frequent interactions with stakeholders from other departments internal to Client.
