Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Somerset (Near Radstock / Midsomer Norton)
£36,000 - £42,000 + Overtime
Monday-Friday | Early Finish Every Friday

A well-established manufacturing business in Somerset is looking to add an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to its onsite engineering team.

This is a hands-on role within a stable engineering environment, working across a range of production equipment and manufacturing machinery.

The company has very low staff turnover and offers engineers a long-term career within a supportive team.

The Role

You will join a small engineering team responsible for keeping the manufacturing facility running efficiently through reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects.

The role involves working across a range of production equipment including electrical systems, motors and control equipment.

Typical responsibilities include:

* Electrical fault finding on production machinery

* Reactive breakdown response and diagnosis

* Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections

* Installation and modification of machinery and equipment

* Working from electrical schematics and technical drawings

* Supporting improvement projects and machinery upgrades

* Maintaining high standards of safety and engineering practice

While this is primarily an electrical role, engineers with some mechanical maintenance experience (bearings, belts, pneumatics etc.) will be advantageous.

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week on a double-day rotating shift pattern:

Morning Shift

Mon-Wed: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Thu: 6:00am - 1:00pm

Fri: 6:00am - 12:30pm

Afternoon Shift

Mon-Wed: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Thu: 1:00pm - 8:00pm

Fri: 12:30pm - 7:00pm

What We're Looking For

Engineers with experience in environments such as:

* Manufacturing

* FMCG

* Packaging

* Printing

* Industrial production

* Automation

You should ideally have experience with:

* Electrical fault finding

* Single & three-phase systems

* Motors and control systems

* Reading electrical diagrams

* Maintenance of industrial machinery

Package

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 for a 37 hour working week
Overtime:
Paid at time-and-a-half with unlimited availability
34 days holiday including bank holidays
Christmas shutdown
