As a Teaching Assistant
, you'll be an integral part of a dedicated team, working within a school that provides vital support to young people aged 5-16. This rewarding position focuses on empowering students who face challenges with their social skills and relationships

You'll collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff, playing a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
. Our diverse student body of 104 pupils all have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with their primary needs stemming from social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
- Assisting with classroom management
, ensuring a structured and productive learning space. - Providing individual and group support tailored to student needs.
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies with calm professionalism.
- Actively participating in school activities to enrich the student experience.
We're looking for an enthusiastic individual who is ready to make a significant contribution. While relevant experience is highly valued, your passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs is paramount.
Essential Experience &Skills:
- Proven experience working with children with SEMH needs is crucial.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
. - Skill in managing challenging behaviours with composure and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with students, staff, and parents.
- GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable
