Welder

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform production welding of high-volume parts using automated welding systems such as AMET, Lincoln, or ABB solutions.
• Perform medium-volume manual welding using wire-fed solutions, MIG, FCAW, and all TIG welding processes.
• Repair parts using clamping, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, and grinding techniques.
• Perform basic equipment upkeep including cleaning, inert gas tank changeovers, tip replacement, and wire spool replacement.
• Apply welding process-control techniques to prevent overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrink issues.
• Identify material and equipment-related faults and promptly notify a supervisor.
• Apply working knowledge of GD&T and use precision measuring tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and material specifications.
• Perform other manufacturing tasks as assigned.

• Strong written/verbal communication and basic arithmetic proficiency.
• Ability to plan operations and make decisions within standard methods.
• Continuous mental and visual attention.
• Self motivated and self directed.
• Welding certification (AWS/NRVCC or equivalent) required.

• Knowledge of welding equipment, processes, and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently.

• Regular use of hands; frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; focus adjustment.
• Must be willing and able to travel by all forms of transportation.
