Job DescriptionThe Department of Psychology in the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences at Radford University invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the Assistant Professor level in Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychology starting in August 2026. The area of specialty within I/O psychology is open. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a mix of undergraduate classes (e.g., statistics, research methods, social psychology, intro to I/O psychology, or related courses) and graduate level I/O courses (including, but not limited to, performance appraisal, selection, job analysis, organizational change, or training and development).
Candidates will also be expected to establish an independent program of research and to participate in departmental, college, and university governance.
Qualifications for the position include:
1) a doctoral degree in I/O psychology
2) evidence of potential for independent scholarship, and
3) evidence of potential for effective teaching. Candidates should have completed the doctoral degree by the August 10th, 2026 start date.
Candidates must have a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education.
