Position: OR Nurse (RN) - Radcliff, Kentucky
A registered nurse with operating room experience is sought for a contract position supporting general surgery and specialty cases including ENT, orthopedics/spine, urology, gynecology, vascular, and pain management in a busy surgical department. This role focuses on delivering high-quality perioperative care in a setting with a 1:1 patient ratio and a range of outpatient and inpatient cases.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the surgical environment, collaborating closely with surgical teams, adhering to protocols and dress codes, and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical procedures. The position offers mostly day shifts, with on-call weekend coverage and some weekday night calls. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other surgical service areas if needed.

Key qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operating room nursing
• Experience preferred in orthopedic and spine surgery
• Skilled in the use of surgical equipment and familiar with EMR systems like Cerner
• Ability to work as part of a cohesive surgical team and maintain professional standards and dress code
• Certified in required nursing specialties or willing to obtain certifications
