Maintenance Manager
Join to apply for the MAINTENANCE MANAGER role at O&H Danish Bakery.
Description- Managing the site-wide maintenance function, including packaging, process, mechanical, electrical, building maintenance and stationary engineering.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance re: health & safety, and environmental standards.
- Working with outside engineering & technical services as needed.
- Build the Maintenance team’s technical & functional capabilities.
- Assume total responsibility for the Maintenance Department budget ensuring proper expenditures and accountability.
- Strategic development of the maintenance department to a best-in-class level.
- Focus on development of the Maintenance team to continually improve maintenance strategies and equipment efficiencies.
- Support teamwork between Maintenance and other O&H Danish Bakery departments.
- Actively participates in the daily production meeting as a key component of the operating team (as needed).
- Procurement process (vendor selection, ordering, receiving) up to $10,000.
- Discipline – Safety and regulatory protocol.
- Discipline – Non safety – Final approvals.
- Create and deliver performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Approve hiring decisions.
- Contract signing.
- Shutdown scheduling.
- Other duties may be assigned by Leadership.
- Experienced in a management capacity within a manufacturing/process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices as well as concepts of Best in Class Maintenance and Process Control.
- Strong emphasis on developing others' capabilities. Enjoys working with others and sees teamwork as more productive. Can recognize others' achievements and improvements and deal with conflict effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels through excellent active listening, communication and facilitation skills.
- High degree of computer & systems knowledge.
- Familiarity with 5S and Lean practices.
- A builder and strong leader, committed to improving operating efficiencies through effective PM / PDM.
- Effective team player with a good sense of priorities, able to manage well under pressure with a proven track record in managing people.
- Experience managing budget, planning and strong communication skills.
