Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Racine, Wisconsin. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes in a fully onsite, paper-driven environment. The role is expected to last 2-3 months, with the potential for extension or transition to a long-term position.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices weekly, ranging from 100-200 invoices.

- Perform thorough three-way matching involving invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.

- Accurately code invoices and enter them into the general ledger system.

- Manage invoice entry using Epicor 10.1/10.2 (On-Premise version).

- Execute weekly check runs and ensure timely payments.

- Investigate and resolve vendor discrepancies with professionalism.

- Maintain organized and accessible paper files to support manual processing workflows.

- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment statuses and inquiries.

- Provide limited support for accounts receivable tasks, including cash applications and account research.

- Collaborate with the accounting team to address general accounting needs as required. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable roles.

- Proven ability to process high volumes of invoices, ideally 100+ weekly.

- Strong knowledge and application of three-way matching processes.

- Experience with Epicor systems, preferably version 10.1 or 10.2.

- Comfort with manual, paper-based accounting workflows.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment.
