Overview
This role is designed as onsite with an expectation to primarily work from an HPE office. Night Shift Position: 10PM – 6AM (OT as needed). Onsite:
Quincy, Washington.
Provides technical support to the creation and delivery of software products, conducts or participates in technical research and collaboration with developers in the process, design, development, and usage of software development tools and systems. Responsibilities may include leading a team or project in the area of expertise, planning, supporting, coordinating, integrating, troubleshooting, and administering systems used as part of the Software Development infrastructure to control and release components.
This applies to the documentation, design, code, integration, test ware, testing activities, change control activities, release activities as well as the tracking and delivery of Software Products.
Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways. Expert knowledge on the general/technical aspects of the job. Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong degree of initiative and technical knowledge are required to resolve problems. Work is completed independently and has ability to handle most unique situations.
Frequently determines methods and procedures for new assignments. May supervise the activities of other non-exempt employees.
Education And Experience Required
- Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years related experience in Software Development or Support.

- Focused experience in a key area of Software Development support as relevant to the job being performed.
Required
- A Junior Lab Administrator is an entry level Lab Admin position. A Jr. Lab Admin is responsible for the closures of trouble tickets (Issues) submitted by various individuals throughout the company. Jr. Lab Admins are expected to ask questions and learn how the various labs work, as well as the equipment within the lab. Tasks required can include but are not limited to:
- Physical de-racking, moving, and re-racking of network equipment within or between labs
- Documentation of installs/de-installs/reinstalls
- Receiving of new inventory
- Installation of network and/or computer equipment
- Adding new devices to our database system
- Building and changing topologies, and documenting the changes
- Troubleshooting hardware/software issues on installed equipment
- Basic UNIX
Skills:
navigate and operate in a UNIX/Linux command-line environment; install operating systems like Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Rocky Linux; familiarity with commands such as ls, cd, pwd, cp, mv, rm, mkdir, chmod, chown, grep; basic process management and log/viewing tools; willingness to learn more advanced UNIX concepts over time. - Knowledge of TCP/IP and Networking Concepts: basic understanding of IPs, subnetting, CIDR, gateway, router, DNS; familiarity with protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSH); ability to perform simple checks with ping/nslookup; awareness of internal vs external IP addresses.
