SALARY RANGE
: $3,981.52 to $5,125.35 per month depending upon experience and qualifications.
Medical, dental, vision and life benefits, State PERS retirement plan, State deferred compensation optional, 12 days of paid Vacation per year, 8 hours of paid Sick Leave per month and 12 paid Holidays per year. Incentives such as bilingual Spanish only $75 per month, AA degree $25 per month or BA degree $50 per month.
POSITION OVERVIEWThis position assists the Animal Shelter Manager in the operation of the City-owned Quincy Animal Shelter. In addition to the day-to-day tasks of animal care, responsibilities include building and grounds maintenance, adoption programs, pet licensing as per City ordinance or direction, and all related duties. Additionally, the position will assist the Manager with community education regarding the importance of licensing; promoting responsible pet ownership and pet population;
and assisting the Manager in development of community problem solving techniques regarding nuisance animals.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and, six months to one-year related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience; or training and related experience that is acceptable to the City of Quincy.
- Able to obtain the Legend Drug/Euthanasia Certification.
- Possess valid driver’s license upon hire date.
- Authorize and pass a full background check.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
This position will involve a twelve-month probationary period, during which time the employee may be dismissed for any reason at the sole discretion of the City of Quincy.
