We’re growing, and our Quincy branch is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Programmer with strong Edwards system expertise to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Program, commission, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems (Edwards experience required)
  • Perform on-site diagnostics, service, and system verification to ensure code compliance
  • Support installs, inspections, testing, and servicing of low-voltage life safety systems
  • Identify code and non-conformance issues and correct per NFPA and AHJ requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and system documentation
  • Complete detailed service reports and documentation
  • Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, and internal teams
  • Provide customer instruction on system use and preventive maintenance
  • Identify opportunities for additional services or system improvements
  • Work independently while also being a strong team player (no lone-wolf nonsense)
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of fire alarm technician experience with heavy programming and troubleshooting
  • Strong experience programming Edwards fire alarm systems (non-negotiable)
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70 & 72 and local AHJ requirements
  • Comfortable using laptops, tablets, and mobile devices (Windows, iOS, Android, Teams, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Valid MA Class D Systems License
Physical & Work Environment
  • Field-based role with indoor and outdoor work
  • Lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent ladder climbing and equipment handling
  • Moderate noise levels, active job sites
