* Seeds lawns and gardens
* Prune trees and shrubs
* Plant and transplant flowers, and perform weeding and watering.
* Clean public areas, including litter control that is assigned to DPW, such as streets, sidewalks, and open spaces.
* Spray for insects and plant diseases
* Care for lawns and ornamental gardens
* Determine care needed for plants, trees, flowers, shrubs, lawns
* Perform related manual tasks such as cutting grass, removing snow, raking and digging.
* Use equipment and tools necessary for gardening such as weed whacker, lawn mower, rake and shovel.
* Must assist in snow and ice management, including shoveling, spreading ice melt, operating a snow blower, and sidewalk plow as assigned.
* Others duties as required
Qualifications and entrance requirements
* Valid Massachusetts drivers license
