Foreman-Toolkeeper

Position: Working Foreman-Toolkeeper
Sewer, Water and Drain

Duties and Resposnibilities

* Operate a vehicle, including a Class B Truck to pick up supplies, and deliver to the department and job site as required

* Keeping inventory and maintaining all stock and tools for the Sewer/Water/Drain department.

* Provides instructions in the use and maintenance of all tools.

* Must be able to assist crews to complete the task at hand if needed.

* Obtains price quotes and specifications for equipment and stock needed, along with a basic understanding of the department's procurement procedures.

* Authority would be equivalent to a Working Foreman/Craftsman.

* Must be willing and available for overtime during emergency operations, including inclement weather emergencies such as snow & ice, and flooding events.

* Other duties as required

Qualifications and Entrance Requirements

* Valid Massachusetts Class B Commercial Driver's License.

* Minimum 3 years' experience with sewer, water and drain crews

* This position requires presence five (5) days a week and during emergencies such as water main breaks, floods and sewer repairs.

* Demonstrate a complete understanding of the crew's need of equipment and stock.

* Basic computers skills preferred.
