Position Summary
The EHR Portfolio Manager is responsible for day-to-day coordination and ongoing development of the BMC EHR IT Teams Portfolio. Reporting directly to the ITS Sr. Director of the PMO, this position oversees the EHR governance process across all EHR Teams, including tracking and aligning ongoing projects, programs, and tasks; and reporting on project status. Acts as the EHR representative in the IT PMO Governance process and ensures IT PMO standards and workflows are tailored to the EHR Team structure.
Maintains the EHR Roadmap, a multi-year strategic plan aligned with leadership goals.

Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain 3-5 year EHR roadmap and strategic alignment tools.
- Facilitate annual EHR roadmap sessions with directors and stakeholders.
- Improve tools and processes for portfolio management.
- Communicate portfolio updates to stakeholders.
- Track project progress, dependencies, milestones, and costs.
- Develop business cases and conduct financial assessments.
- Prepare proposals and visualize data for executive decision-making.
- Monitor Service Now queues to ensure SLAs are met.
- Coordinate planning sessions before budget seasons.
- Align work with hospital priorities and maintain project tracking tools.
- Report on work stats periodically.
- Ensure compliance with project management standards.
- Lead and facilitate governance meetings.
- Support and mentor project managers.
- Maintain governance frameworks and documentation.
- Support data governance and knowledge management related to EHR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s preferred. - Experience with project/portfolio management for at least 5 years.
- Experience leading projects involving stakeholders outside IT.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Planview, Service Now, Epic certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of Agile, PMBOK, and financial management in projects.
