Patient Care Coordinator
Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $24.00/hr
Location: Quincy, MA (with travel to Norwell, Norwood, and Weymouth)
Pay Range: $19–$24 per hour (based on experience)

About Nielsen Eye Center: Nielsen Eye Center is a leading ophthalmology and eye care practice specializing in LASIK, cataract surgery, and comprehensive vision care. With offices in Quincy, Norwell, Norwood, and Weymouth, our mission is to provide patients with advanced technology, personalized attention, and exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a friendly and professional experience.
- Verify and update patient information, insurance, and billing details in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collect and post payments, including co‑pays, co‑insurance, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain HIPAA‑compliant patient records and confidentiality.
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule appointments.
- Support clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments, procedures, and financial policies.
- Participate in department meetings and assist with special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience in a medical office, healthcare front desk, or patient services role (preferred).
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong data entry and computer proficiency, including familiarity with EHR and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between all Nielsen Eye Center locations.
- Professional and positive attitude with a team‑oriented mindset.
- Monday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday (Occasional): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Some flexibility may be required based on office needs.)
