Northeast Recovery located in Quincy MA is looking for a Patient Account Specialist.
A Patient Account Specialist is responsible for managing patient accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and providing excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

**** Key Responsibilities
*** Manage Patient Accounts:
Oversee the financial processes related to patient care, including verifying insurance details, processing claims, and handling billing inquiries.
* Billing Inquiries:
Address patient billing inquiries, providing clear explanations of charges, insurance benefits, and payment options to enhance patient satisfaction.
* Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile patient accounts by applying payments and adjustments accurately, ensuring that account balances reflect the current status.
* Compliance:
Implement and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality in all communications and records.
* Financial Negotiation:
Assist patients with terms for repayment structure. Negotiate any overdue balance to recover payment from patients
** Required
Skills and Qualifications
**
* Education:
High school diploma or GED is required; a degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
* Experience:
1-2 years experience in medical billing, patient accounting, or a related field is preferred
* Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in medical billing software and a good understanding of insurance regulations and healthcare reimbursement procedures.
* Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
* Attention to Detail:
Ability to accurately enter data and identify discrepancies in patient accounts and billing information.
