Our client is a respected construction management firm known for delivering complex commercial, healthcare, and technically demanding projects. Their work places a strong emphasis on planning, coordination, and collaboration to ensure building systems are fully aligned before construction begins.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an MEP/BIM/VDC Coordinator to join their team. This role plays a critical part in integrating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems into the overall construction process, ensuring coordination is completed accurately and efficiently from preconstruction through installation.

Position OverviewThe MEP/BIM/VDC Coordinator is a detail-oriented team member responsible for managing the coordination of all MEP systems across assigned projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, this individual will support coordination efforts, maintain models and documentation, and help ensure systems are fully integrated and constructible.
This role combines technical BIM/VDC responsibilities with real-world construction coordination, making it ideal for candidates who want to bridge design and field execution.

- Support preconstruction and project teams with modeling and coordination efforts.
- Manage and maintain 2D documentation and 3D models from subcontractors for construction coordination.
- Run clash detection and work with subcontractors and design teams to resolve conflicts.
- Assist with coordination meetings, including weekly meetings with MEP subcontractors.
- Initiate and track RFIs during the coordination process.
- Maintain coordinated drawing sets for use by project teams and field personnel.
- Provide technical support to project teams throughout construction.
- Help train operational teams on MEP coordination processes and technology.
- Understanding of construction processes and MEP systems.
- Degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering—or equivalent technical training/experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction or mechanical/electrical coordination preferred.
- Experience with coordination software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or BIM platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
