- Setting: Acute care, 20‑bed blended Med/Surg unit
- Contract Type: Travel Nurse (13‑week travel nursing assignment)
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- End Date: June 29, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12‑hour nights (night shift RN)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Charting System: Allscripts (
Note:
Charting system will convert to EPIC starting March 21, 2025. Recent EPIC experience is preferred.) - Medication System: Acu‑dose
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,130 – $2,250 per week
- Active RN license (Illinois or compact state) – RN license required for travel nursing
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience (pediatric and adult Med/Surg experience preferred)
- Current BLS (American Heart Association)
- Current PALS certification (required)
- NIHSS Certification (required)
- COVID‑19 vaccination (required)
- Comfortable floating to other adult Med/Surg units as needed
- Experience with Allscripts and Acu‑dose medication systems is a plus
- Recent EPIC charting experience preferred due to upcoming system conversion
- Provide high‑quality, compassionate acute care to pediatric and adult female Med/Surg patients
- Manage patient assignments up to 5 patients depending on census and staffing
- Safely administer medications using Acu‑dose and document care accurately in Allscripts/EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, core RNs, and centralized staffing office
- Float to other adult Med/Surg units as required to support unit needs
- Participate in unit initiatives, quality improvement, and maintain positive team culture
