Job SummaryTo provide day to day supervision and leadership to the production staff, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Key Responsibilities and Authority- Supervise the employees in the production area ensuring that policies and procedures are followedregarding safety and quality. Provide leadership and open communication with all employees.
- Serve as a safety champion for the facility and ensure that World Class Safety standards are metand that safety huddles are fresh and timely. Notify Plant Manager regarding safety concerns and identify resolutions to the concerns.
- Manage the AX production scheduling for the facility. Service levels maintained by manufacturing quality products on time and ready for delivery or pickup as appropriate.
- Assist in reporting, investigating and resolving customer complaints and non-conformances.
- Work directly with employees regarding training, cross training, coaching, performance assessments and improvement plans.
- Be familiar with handbooks and union contracts as appropriate. Ensure staff is aware of, and incompliance with, established work rules, policies and procedures. As needed, work with Plant Manager and Human Resources regarding appropriate discipline of staff.
- Maintain plant facilities in good working order and ensure housekeeping of facility is completed as outlined.
- Assist the Plant Manager in capital expenditure projects as needed. This may include researching,completing paperwork and/or the implementation of an approved cap ex project.
Education Level: Some College
Experience Level: 3-5 years
