Additional Information

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but is not limited to the following:

Responsibilities
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Makes changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves process problems, or assists employees in solving process problems.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Sets up machines and equipment.
  • Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
  • Fully responsible for overall financial performance of their department.
  • Supports foundry projects through staff management.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost effective results.
  • Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work.
  • Behaves in an honest, fair, and ethical manner.
  • Shows consistency in words and actions.
  • Models high standards of ethics.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees in the Foundry Department.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, cross training, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
