Job SummaryResponsible for the activities and work efforts of employees assigned to a specific shift or modality. Supervisor may be expected to routinely function as staff. Is actively engaged with their employees regarding shared staffing model, employee engagement, process improvement, and continuing education.
Responsibilities- Monitors practices within the department and implement changes that impact the perception and quality of the Radiology department
- Rounding with staff, providers, and patients to improve quality outcomes
- Compliant with ACR and DNV accreditation standards
- Innovative and strategic planning to provide growth strategy
- Maintenance of a healthy work environment utilizing the principles of “just culture” which neither holds the staff accountable for system failures nor tolerates reckless behavior
- Recruitment, selection, orientation, and retention of staff
- Implement changes in practice and/or patient care through the shared governance structure
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, evaluating and delivering all diagnostic services and working closely with the director and other supervisors to ensure quality care. The supervisor provides daily staff supervision and ensures the effective and efficient operation of the department while promoting customer service and employee satisfaction. They will fulfill the Mission of Blessing Health System and model the ICARE standards.
Education/Training/ExperienceJOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- 3 years post certification experience in Radiology
- Minimum of 3 Years of Supervisory Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or related Radiology field
- ARRT or modality specific credential
- IEMA
