Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse C3 acts as principal liaison between emergency services, surgical services, nursing, finance, physicians, utilization review, and medical records to ensure appropriate bed is assigned, patient care needs are met and treatment plans are executed in the appropriate level of the continuum. The Unit C3 will demonstrate technical and clinical competence, assist with patient care duties as needed, and serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
There is no direct Patient Care assignment for the Unit C3. This should be a ‘fixed role with replacement’ position. This position will maintain a current knowledge of basic health care economics, trends and reimbursements methodologies and applies knowledge to daily practice. Recognizes situations that require immediate intervention. This position will continue to develop professionally and apply knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to each patient.
The Unit C3 will actively manage LOS for unit’s patients through partnership and collaboration with all members of the healthcare team. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Missions of Blessing Health Systems. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.
