Overview

Facilities Technician - fixed term until 03/07/2026

Salary: £26,337 - £28,835

Hours:

36 per week

06:45am - 16:30pm Monday - Thursday
06:45am - 13:00pm Friday

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to staff, students & members of the community within all types of Council properties.
  • Undertake all duties relating to the operation, security & maintenance of the building & surrounding grounds, ensuring facilities/equipment set up for users, reactive cleaning, portering duties & litter picking duties.
  • You will receive all the training required to carry out the Janitorial function.
Qualifications and requirements
  • This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
  • An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
  • Salary & location details as above; 36 hours per week.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
