Teacher of RMPS, fixed term until 26/06/2026, at Queensferry High School. Salary: £34,938 - £52,614.

Hours:

35 per week.

We are seeking a full-time Teacher of RMPS to join our busy Social Subjects faculty on a Fixed Term Contract until 26th June 2026. This is a six-year comprehensive school in the North West Locality of the City of Edinburgh Council. The catchment area includes Queensferry, Dalmeny, Echline and Kirkliston Primary Schools, as well as St Margaret’s RC Primary School by parent/carer request.

The school has recently moved into a brand new building with excellent resources and views of the Forth Estuary. The school roll is over 1,200 and rising.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if you have spent a continuous period outside the UK in the last 5 years. An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to the outcome of these pre-employment checks being satisfactory.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

• Deliver RMPS lessons to assigned classes in line with curriculum standards.
• Plan and assess student progress and provide feedback in keeping with school policies.
• Collaborate with the Social Subjects faculty to support cross-curricular learning and achievement of pupils.
• Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Qualified RMPS teacher with relevant teaching experience (or pending qualifications acceptable for a temporary post).
• Full-time teacher on a fixed-term contract until 26/06/2026.
• PVG Scheme membership or update, and Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable.
