We are seeking a highly motivated and sales‑driven leader to serve as Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales). The Assistant Fitness Manager will conduct welcome workouts with new members, guide them through initial fitness experiences, and help them start a personal training program. Reporting to the Fitness Manager, the role is critical to driving personal training sales and fostering member relationships.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for fitness, a desire to win, and a proven track record of achieving results.
Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members receive an exceptional fitness experience.
Responsibilities- Ensure daily targets are met, especially during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is not present.
- Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building strong rapport with members.
- Achieve sales targets for personal training services and small‑group training sessions.
- Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and provide a smooth transition into the club experience.
- Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals.
- Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive, supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention, and engagement.
- Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and continuous support.
- Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols.
- 2‑3 years of customer service experience.
- 1 year of sales experience.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills with people at all levels.
- Strong detail orientation and good time management, organizational, and record‑keeping skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry is a plus.

- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must have a valid Personal Training certification.
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work in a gym setting and communicate with employees, members, and the public.
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.
- Ability to access and operate the company computer system.

$41,000 — $82,000 USD
