All about On Demand:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You may be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule before you can pick up shifts.

Knowledge of in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.
The Role:
A Guest Advocate helps guests with interactions, problem solving, and awareness of tools, products, and services to resolve guest needs and improve their experience.
Typical responsibilities and activities include a range of guest service duties and store operations.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and answer questions about products, services, and store layout.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their presence and choices.
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate, and use them.
- Explain features of the Target App and Wallet to guests as needed.
- Handle returns in accordance with policy, escalating to leaders when necessary.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per Target policies and procedures.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report hazards and take corrective action when possible.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up orders, and returns; ensure compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage policies where applicable).
- Assist with cash office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
- All other duties based on business needs.

- Safe handling, scanning, and movement of merchandise (lifting up to 10 pounds frequently; up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance)
- Shift flexibility (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs
- Active participation in shifts; must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment may be terminated
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.)
- Mobility for the duration of scheduled shifts
