Job Description:
This position is within Technology modernization and Architecture. As a department we are responsible for the promotion and adoption of new technology in the Company. The successful candidate will join a team developing an eco-system of tools and processes to enable technologists to make informed technology decisions based on accurate and up to date information on technologies available at the Firm.
The central catalogue of technologies is being implemented on the Service Now platform with other components built on the distributed platform. The solution we build will help us to track our inventory of technical products across the firm, their respective life cycles and highlight opportunities for consolidation and cost saving.
As a Service Now developer you will be working directly with our customers to understand their requirements and craft technical solutions to fulfill their needs. The successful candidate will be an advocate for building software correctly and will critique and challenge design ideas from the technical side as well as our business colleagues to ensure we are meeting their requirements but not developing a solution that results in a level of customization on Service Now that is unsustainable.
They will be a culture carrier and help to implement and maintain standards in our team and suggest improvements to technical and soft processes. You will be part of a team working within all facets of development: from requirements, design and development all the way to production.
Skills Required:
1. Minimum of 5 years as a software developer
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience developing in Service Now
3. Strong knowledge of database development concepts
4. Strong background in software development, software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and SDLC models
5. Ability to work with customers, gather requirements and create solutions independently
6. Ability to communicate across time-zones and geographies effectively
7. Experienced with agile development practices
Skills Desired:
1. Experience modelling data in Service Now with familiarity with CSDM
2. Previous experience working with a Service Now partner consultancy, having done implementations with multiple clients
3. Experience developing UIs on Service Now
4. Experience working with ITAM
5. Experience working with Snowflake
6. Experience implementing Service Now in complex network environments
7.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python
8. ITIL certification
