We are looking for a talented Diesel engine mechanic to join our mining team in Val DOr.
Cummins offers a 5000$ sign on bonus.
This position will require the candidate to be fluent in French.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor. Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
Qualifications
A copy of your red seal or trade certification will be required
A copy of your driver's abstract will be required
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Education, licensing, certifications
DEP in heavy vehicle or construction equipment mechanics or the equivalent from a Canadian school (Red seal or trade certification).
Valid local driver's license.
This position may require licensing to comply with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience on mine sites in a similar role.
Experience working in underground mines is required for this position.
Advanced level of experience related to diesel engines
Level knowledge (intermediate and/or experience) with Cummins products
This position requires an advanced level of French (read, written and spoken) and English is considered an asset.
About the role
Work is mainly on mining, industrial and forestry equipment (repairs, diagnostics, maintenance etc).
Position on a 14X14 rotation schedule-day shift (possibility of night rotation to come).
12-hour shifts.
