Overview
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for cultivating productive and mutually beneficial relationships with customers across the food and nutrition market in Quebec, Canada.
Responsibilities- Develop long-term, productive relationships with current customers by understanding their business needs and seeking to address their challenges.
- Ensure that the customer views us as trusted partner and problem-solver.
- Leverage market knowledge to seek opportunities for new business development. Identify, prioritize, nurture and develop potential sales.
- Establish (and follow) a rigorous process for following up on new leads, pursuing new lines of inquiry, etc.
- Understand market trends and competitive environment in our market segments.
- Provide market and customer feedback to all internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and grow an active Opportunity Pipeline.
- Be an active member of the Food & Nutrition Vertical by leading the efforts on top suppliers and sub-vertical products that are key for our long-term growth.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum five years sales experience in the food & nutrition market with customer facing roles.
- Proven sales track record with customers in the food & nutrition market.
- General knowledge of consumer and marketplace trends.
- Generate leads with "hunter" mentality.
- Familiarity with key customer contacts and/or relationships with suppliers is desired.
- Personal integrity.
- The highest standard of personal and professional conduct.
- Entrepreneurial mindset coupled with discipline.
- Strong work ethic and personal initiative.
- The ability to work independently with little day-to-day supervision.
- Consultative,-oriented sales approach.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
- Self-starter who works with minimal supervision and is comfortable working in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
- Must be able to travel 50% (mostly by vehicle).
