Senior Research Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Research Specialist to join our Talent Neuron research practice based in Bengaluru. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at a private equity-owned HR analytics company. Although the position is in Bengaluru, you will collaborate with colleagues across our global offices in Washington DC, London, Quebec City, and Chennai. You will have the opportunity to generate insights from large‑scale, multi‑terabyte data, working alongside a diverse team of data science, data product, advisory, and research professionals.

About

the Team

The Talent Neuron research team forms the core of the Talent Neuron suite of products and plays a crucial role in supporting all other business areas that leverage our data and insights. As a member of this team, you will assist Fortune 500 clients in making critical business and talent decisions. This includes helping them identify key roles by location, occupation, and skill set;

providing data on competitors’ hiring trends and sought‑after skills and roles; and offering location intelligence to help them find and hire top talent at the right cost.

Responsibilities
  • Data Collation, Interpretation, and Analysis:
    Extract meaningful insights from various data sources.
  • Data Management:
    Work with large volumes of data (including job descriptions, personal profiles, government population figures, and university graduation records) to generate global labor market insights. Utilize research and data models to address global HR challenges.
  • Report Preparation:
    Prepare high-quality reports, understanding that the content and presentation of the reports are equally important.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with colleagues in research and product management to develop tools and templates.
  • Knowledge Management:
    Document information, adhere to, and enhance processes.
  • Continuous Learning:
    Through continuous learning, discovery, and collaboration, you will not only help clients achieve their mission‑critical priorities but also expand your career and the scope of your impact across industries.
  • Narrative and visual storytelling:
    Communicate and present actionable business insights to clients and team members through charts, tables and other data visualizations.
  • Supervision and quality checks on the work of other researchers in the team and supporting the team manager with pipeline, project and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
  • 4 years of relevant research experience in a Research/Consulting Organization with BCA/MCA or Programming degree, or 5+ years of relevant research experience with a Masters degree in statistics, mathematics or BCA/MCA or Programmers with interest in research.
  • Expertise in SQL and Python for data management and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent secondary research skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct extensive secondary literature searches and extract high-quality insights for use in member webinars and highly visible research studies.
  • Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, problem‑solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Ability to generate reports on market analysis, competitor analysis, industry analysis, etc.
  • Ability to work on research reports with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel,…
