The Non-Financial Risk (NFRT) Technology organization at Company provides operational controls and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm’s resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior. The WM Monitoring team builds and executes complex surveillance models that focus on monitoring FA sales practices, suitability of client holdings and market abuse activities.
Role Profile :
The ideal candidate should be a self-driven, dedicated individual with strong design and coding skills, who will work with Risk and Compliance to build surveillance models. This role requires comprehensive knowledge in software design, back end and front-end development, and Dev Ops automation. This individual will work with fellow Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Dev Ops, and other teams in understanding surveillance model requirements, designing, implementing, and testing surveillance models in a fast-paced agile manner.
In addition, this individual should have strong interpersonal skills and feel comfortable working on a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Elicit, analyze, and generate Business requirements documents (including Agile user stories, proof of concept models, and supporting documentation).
- Analyze data sets to determine data gaps and work with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap.
- Liaise with the development team to ensure the product is developed according to specifications.
- Conduct Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), write and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test plan.
- Create and manage the overall project plan at the project level; and escalate delays to the program lead.
Skills Required :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience in global organizations as a Technical Business Analyst.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis with an understanding of business requirements.
- Working experience in SQL, relational databases, and data presentation.
- Established technical knowledge in software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; as well as the ability to work in an international team setting.
- Collaborate effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions and roles.
- Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks assigned.
- Ability to problem solve and have creative solutions in challenging environments.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, demanding, and team-oriented environment.
- Manage and delegate workload through the team.
- Good customer service skills. Ability to deal with difficult situations gracefully.
- Experience in life cycles and asset classes :
Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Futures.
Skill Desired :
- Understanding of Compliance surveillance platforms (Actimize) and their models, Marking the Open / Close, Spoofing, etc.
- IT Project Management and SDLC knowledge / experience (Waterfall, Agile / Scrum) and experience using BDD.
- Experience working in medium to large-scale development projects.
- Knowledge of positions data, reference data.
- Experience in Nasdaq SMARTS platform.
Education :
- Bachelor or higher degree in computer science or related majors.
