The Financial and Business Modelling Consultant may be responsible for but is not limited to;
  • Designing, building, and reviewing advanced financial models that support strategic decision-making, investment evaluation, and business planning.
  • Develop dynamic financial and business models to support budgeting, forecasting, valuation, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Build models for M&A transactions, project finance, capital investment, and business cases.
  • Perform sensitivity, scenario, and break-even analyses to evaluate potential business outcomes.
  • Partner with business leaders, finance teams, and executives to translate operational data into financial insights.
  • Review and enhance existing financial models to ensure accuracy, transparency, and auditability.
  • Support valuation analyses, including DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction methods.
  • Assist in developing dashboards, data visualizations, and decision support tools for management reporting.
  • Document model assumptions, methodologies, and outputs in clear, professional deliverables.
  • Provide training and guidance to finance or business teams on modeling best practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, modeling standards, and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Experience in financial modeling, corporate finance, or business analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot) and strong knowledge of financial modeling principles.
  • Experience with valuation techniques, forecasting, and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key performance metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality, error-free work.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Exposure to financial modeling in M&A, infrastructure, energy, or technology sectors.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional designation such as CFA, CPA, CBV, or FMVA.
