Design Engineer – Aerospace & Defense

• Developing new product part designs and generate accompanying type design documents
• Attending to product change requests and handling subsequent 3‑D modeling and 2‑D part drawing creation
• Uploading design data into customer’s Product Definition Management (PDM) system and into our own PDM system
• Developing and implementing project timelines and maintaining product release schedules
• Following CFR 25.856(a) and (b) with regards to flammability requirements for insulation methods and procedures for acoustic production
• Working on‑site at customer location in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada and supporting routine problem‑solving activities with customer
• Managing project cost and scheduling customer meetings in supervisor’s absence

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to job start)
• Five (5) years of design and/or drafting experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
• One (1) year of experience using Catia V5 modelling and drafting software
• One (1) year of experience with Product Definition Management Software, including Enovia

• Experience managing customer expectations regarding schedule and requirements
• Experience with other IT tools including CITRIX, DATALINK, eROOMS, and Smar Team
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
• Experience transacting in SAP

May include up to 25% of the time in Canada and the United States

The expected compensation range is $106,646 – $130,346, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
