Responsibilities- Provide project team leadership by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects.
- Coordinate activities with other disciplines, project management, and clients' resident representative.
- Produce engineering documents such as design reports, cost estimates and construction specifications, bid documents, bid evaluations, engineering directives, and other data, according to client specifications.
- Perform quality check for all design work to ensure to meet AR QA/QC requirements.
- Prepare the engineering manhour estimate and schedule.
- Provide technical assistance to the civil/structural superintendents and crafts to ensure the best resolution for all parties for any technical issues arising in the field/plant.
- Perform the inspection in site/plant and provide problem resolution for structural engineering issue in site/plant.
- BS or MS in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 15 plus years of experience in civil/structural engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in the Aluminum industry.
- Registered as a professional engineer in Canada.
- Experience in design and analysis of structural concrete and structural steel.
- Familiarity with NBC, CISC, CSA, ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC standards and codes.
- Bilingual – excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
