RF Technician Montreal
Focus Microwaves is a leader in electronic test and measurement equipment. Our engineering organization is a premier technical engineering force for test systems used to characterize active RF devices from R&D to production. As a Focus Microwaves RF Technician, you will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for the alignment and maintenance of our metrology instruments used throughout the world.
This type of work requires a high degree of precision, concentration and understanding of RF. The position offered will include a training period of between 1 and 3 months, followed by a progressive introduction into individual work, increasing the level of difficulty (higher frequencies) as the candidate evolves. The position will also require a decent amount of travel to customer sites to both maintain and repair our products around the world.
This may include up to 15 weeks of travel per year.

This position requires the following skillsets and attributes with an emphasis on technical expertise:
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment such as Network Analyzers
- Knowledge of calibrations
- Ability to work with your hands on small, delicate and precise objects (good dexterity)
- Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions
- Concentration, patience and precision in your work ethic
- Professional conduct and procedure in your work and documentation
- Ability to work well in a team but also to do individual work for extended periods of time
- Willingness to travel around the world and represent the company professionally in front of clients
- Willingness to Travel up to 15 weeks per year (25% of the year) not including weekends when possible
- Passion for continuous learning in RF technology
- Ability to communicate well in French / English
- Willingness to work overtime if required (not a common occurrence but can happen in rush situations)
- Must be a Canadian Citizen
