Position: Professor - Department of Medical Biology (Physiology)
Location: Trois-Rivières

  • Hold a doctoral degree (PhD) or an equivalent degree in biomedical sciences or a related discipline, with at least two years of postdoctoral experience in cellular and molecular physiology;
Experience
  • Demonstrate excellent ability to deliver high-quality university-level teaching at all three cycles. In particular, the successful candidate will be required to teach and design new physiology courses to meet the needs of undergraduate programs in medical biology, as well as the training of health professionals in the programs of chiropractic, nursing, midwifery, and occupational therapy;
  • Demonstrate strong mentoring and supervisory skills with interns and graduate students;
  • Possess a highly competitive research record at the international level;
  • Demonstrate strong ability to develop a structuring research program and to secure its funding;
  • Establish and maintain dynamic scientific collaborations at the international, national, and regional levels, with faculty members of the department as well as with other colleagues working in related fields at UQTR;
  • Have mastery of modern molecular physiology techniques enabling rapid integration into the UQTR Cell Signaling Research Group (GRSC), whose work focuses on a variety of complementary research themes, including inflammation, cell signaling, oncology, reproductive physiology and endocrinology, mitochondrial physiology, stem cells, development, and nervous system plasticity;
  • Actively contribute to institutional activities and demonstrate a strong ability to enhance UQTR’s visibility on the international stage.
