Based at our permanent garage in Iqaluit
, the candidate will have the opportunity to work on various machinery such as excavators, drills, cranes, shovels, bulldozers, off‑road trucks, crushers, etc.
- Ensure periodic preventive maintenance
- Perform diagnostics to detect breakdowns and malfunctions
- Evaluate the extent of repairs to be carried out and plan the required time
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble defective parts
- Test repaired equipment to ensure its works well
- Perform welding, cutting, and/or drilling of metal as required to perform duties
- Be able to operate and move machinery or vehicles as needed
- Identify replacement parts in parts books for ordering purposes
- Issue recommendations for improvement or maintenance to optimize machinery
- Work in collaboration with construction sites and thus participate in achieving objectives and respecting project deadlines
- DEP in construction machinery mechanics (experience can compensate for lack of training)
- Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar duties
- Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Good physical ability and manual dexterity

- Work in a remote area on a fly-in/fly-out rotation with 30 days on site, 10 days at home
- Work season from February to November
- On-site work schedule of 10 hours per day, 7 days a week

- Travel, accommodation, and food (on-site cook) on the construction site are covered by the employer
- You must have the right to work in the country where the position is offered
