• You will repair and overhaul brake systems including mechanical, hydraulic, direct air and vacuum over hydraulic.
• You will repair and overhaul front end drive axels and replace their components.
• You will repair and overhaul single speed, two speed and positive traction axles.
• You will replace related components parts including pressure plates, discs, release bearings and sleeves.
• You will rebuild, install and adjust water pumps, shutters and shutter slate, replace thermostats, temperature indicators and radiators.

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• This position is considered Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
• You will be required to possess a current Automotive Service Excellence certification.
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a current Virginia Class B Commercial Drivers License with air brake endorsement certification within 6 months.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
